Last night my whole DTS experience came to a close. We "graduated" yesterday with a Gong show of a ceremony that basically summed up the absolute energy and laid back attitude my school brought to Lausanne.
After spending a week in a sweet European house with 23 of some of the greatest people I've ever met, I'm sad to say it's all over. No more crazy bike rides down to the waterfront at ridiculous speeds, no more gorging on Swiss Chocolate and ice cream, and no more walking in the forest beside donkeys and cows.
I was definitely ready to leave YWAM this morning, but not ready to leave these people behind. I said good-bye to people I know I will never ever see again, people that I would like to see again, people that I grew to love are pretty much gone forever from my life.
Lame sauce.
It's hard to write about people on a silly blog like this. It's rather pointless because no matter how much I write, you'll never get the privilege to ever meet them and every time I tell a story I'll have to end it with...."I guess you had to be there." I could easily write something about each and everyone of them, a story of something that they've done that made me laugh, or how I've learned from them or how I've laughed AT them. All in all, these people have all tweaked my life in little mini ways that I never fully realized until the van ride to the airport, and the plane ride to London. People effect you whether you allow them to or not. I'm certainly glad that these people have been around long enough to ensure that I have a slightly different vocab, I phrase things a tad different, and I have a mohawk again.
I've been fortunate enough to spend my remaining time in London with 6 of these awesome people, which is what I'm up to at the moment.
