The 6th is where the library and "prayer" room is located, which is so chillingly cold that no one really goes in there. The 5th floor is where all the Boarders team is located. There are 4 rooms which we are all housed in. 6 in a room.
So yes, I have roommates.
The rooms are about 2/3 the size of a cabin at Camp Crossroads, but they do manage to have a lot of storage space. But space is tight, and we are all very aware of how we sound when were asleep, and how we sound when were sick and asleep.
I'm in room 304, which just so happens to be the hospital wing of Lausanne. My entire room, with the exception of one has been sick with a wicked fever, the chills and other random symptoms. After our full week here, there has been 2 serious illnesses, and our leader Andrea, is constantly giving us tea, medicine and whatever. She could pretty much call her self the base Nurse now.
What's also fantastic is that Room 304 is on the FIFTH floor, 2 staircases between each floor. Without fail when you get up there, you can barely breathe cause you're exhausted. You try to have a conversation but you're too busy having an asthma attack to actually communicate.
The other night we had Swiss Night. Where we learned that Switzerland has amazing chocolate, and cheese, and bread. It's a miracle they aren't all obese.
The milk is normally 2.5%, and the cream (which they call milk) is 15%. I can only imagine the cheese, especially after they dip it all in chocolate. It appears that cardiac arrest is a Swiss delicacy that's simply too tasty to pass up. I mean if there's a chocolate fountain, you use it. There's really no getting around it, it's a fountain in the middle of the table, how do you NOT use it. I'm pretty sure that there's a clause in every dietary magazine/program that says "if you are ever in a situation where multiple fountains of chocolate are around, the diet is postponed until said fountains are robbed of their chocolatey goodness." At least we'll lose a few pounds when we have to go on the never ending staircase.
-Cheers
P.S. Yes, that is me milking a plastic cow.
I milked 2L of milk in 1 min. It was this contest thing that I won for Swiss Night.
I'm pretty conflicted about the whole thing.
